If a person chooses to be a prostitute, knowing they are entering a potentially dangerous occupation in which they are literally required to be alone with testosterone-induced males who are ready to burst, they expect to be treated badly in the first place, as a disposable resource for men to use. Entering the occupation they accept the obvious risks inherent in it. Of course if they're the victim of a crime, the criminal should be punished.
