ok, i know a lot of people will disagree with me on this topic...but....i honestly think that all firearms should be banned, every single kind of gun/firearm regardless of size/calibre/power/range....whatever you wanna call it.
So hear me out....I can understand why you would want to keep your right to bare arms because a lot of other people in your country keep them....they also have some traditional value...(lets bring along little timmy for a family shoot!)
on the other hand, you DO NOT need guns....think about it, are you really going to fight back an over-baring government? do you really think you need firearms to protect yourself from obama? I live in england and NO ONE owns a gun, except maybe the small number of people who shoot birds, but generally they are banned/illegal/rare to find anyone who owns a gun, therefore no one needs a gun to protect themselves because no body has a gun to threaten with. Knives are also illegal after a certain length, thats why whenever you hear of murders in the UK, the weapons are always screwdrivers, kitchen knives, hammers...pathetic I know, but....the death/murder by guns is waaaaay waaaaay waaaay lower.
I also know that guns DO NOT kill people....it is the irresponsible/crazy people who own them. But think about this....if guns were outright banned like in the UK, you would never have those big school massacres and other mass killings or gang warfares involving a shootout. Yes I know that the UK has had a school shooting in the past, but gun legislation has been reformed and you never hear about gun murders...and when you od it becomes a shock to the country, i know that in the US, gun killings are so frequent they dont even publish a lot of them in the news any more.
