Maybe those people also don't think "because reasons," is much of an excuse for not acting when you're entirely capable of doing so.

How would you know? Do you know everything?
How would god know? If he wasn't aware of a thing he didn't know- if there were unknown unknowns for him- he wouldn't know he didn't know them. He could claim to be capable of knowing everything, and be wrong in doing so. That's the problem with these claims of all-knowing-ness: there's no possible way to demonstrate it, because there's no upper limit to knowledge, nor any way of knowing if you've hit the "end," of it.
