You stretch before running. You pray before doing. However, I cannot force bigots to stop hating, so I appeal to the only One who can reach their hearts.

And some people wear their lucky socks before running too. Doesn't mean anything happens when you do.

Incidentally, it's not bigotry to call your religion and its practices ridiculous and unevidenced; that's just observation. If you wanted to prove me wrong, all you'd have to do is prove yourself right... something you cannot do.

First, prayer is actually quite effective. Second, I'm glad that you do useful things with your life. Usefulness is a key tenant of Swedenborg's theology. The key is being useful for the right reasons.

If prayer was effective, the research on it would show that, rather than the opposite of that. I'm going to put my trust in the people who actually did the work before they spoke, thanks all the same.
