Uh, no: the premise of the story is that Lot gets special consideration for being a righteous man. Abraham didn't intercede on behalf of Lot specifically, he pleaded with god to spare the city on behalf of the righteous people within, after a little bargaining over the numbers. There's simply no biblical support for the idea that Lot got saved because he had connections.
Incidentally, my interpretation of events is backed up by scripture:
"2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds

—2 Peter 2:6–8
So, it's up to you, Rev: you gonna say you know more about righteousness than a literal saint? Gonna go against scripture on this one?
