You know...that's the thing about miracles. When we read the narratives we're told to accept a whopper. A miracle. But the miracle on the page is small potatoes compared to the uncountable number of miracles required to make it happen. The deluge would be a miracle...but only a footnote in the long litany of miracles that must have preceded and then followed it. The sun stopping in the sky so that some douche could effectively dry gulch his enemies...yeah...so the earth just standing still....think about all the miracles that must be going on right there. The list is almost endless....
But all we're supposed to be amazed by, gape jawed - praise god - drop to our knees and hallelujah!.....is some rinky dink shit about rain and an ambush?
