Marriage is not required and not about for procreation. Procreation has been preformed without marriage, and I think the human race will continue on.

But, all families will have their ups and downs. No family is ever perfect, and nor should they try. Just be the best person you can be.
Ummm the law only forces the state authority to issue marriage license, and I do not see churches being force to issue marriage license. I am willing to bet, if the gays or lesbians are willing to be married at a church, that they attend the church and are accepted by the church.
