Sounds like an awful experience from end to end. But she's hardly representative and clearly had some problems beyond extreme feminism. But I agree the word misogynist is thrown around by some feminists without cause, much like the way racist, antisemite, and communist are by various other extreme groups.
If I were you, I try to draw more lessons about spotting messed up woman than about feminists in particular. However, if a woman calls you a misogynist without explanation I drop her quickly if I were you.
