Quote:worship
[wur-ship]
noun
1.reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.
2.formal or ceremonious rendering of such honor and homage:
3.adoring reverence or regard:
First of all you CHOOSE to believe there is no God, none of you can make an honest proclamation that God doesn't exist. For you not have a belief in God, the concept would have to be non existent. So your belief that God doesn't exist is your ideology.
Secondly as quoted in the video, they are gathering to "celebrate life" (singing "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey ironically), as above definition number 2 defines as "worship".... you do the math.
It doesn't add up even in the meeting in the video. No god or sacred personage is being honored. Second, it doesn't look very formal to me. Third celebration of a fact (like life, or football for that matter) is not worship or reverence, at least not in a religious sense. So the services in the video are not religious.
Atheism generally fails all three points rather more emphatically as there is no celebration implied, jut a lack of belief.
The choosing not to believe part of your argument is even more ridiculous. Just think about it. Do you have an a-unicorn religion? Because you choose not to believe in those mythical beasts. Or maybe you have an a-Nero religion since you choose not to believe he was god on earth. Not believing in unicorns or Nero's godhood is not an ideology let alone a religion. Neither is not believing in Yahweh or any other mythical being.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
