According to the myth. But there's no mention of it in Egyptian history. Now, I grant the information we have is fragmentary but I would suggest we would have some Egyptian records mentioning it.
Yes, we know how the pyramids were built. The pyramid builders' village has been found, as has the remnants of a ramp used to get the blocks up to the higher parts of the pyramids.
