...and I've observed a good deal of hateful intolerance from a lot of pompous so-called "free thinking" "progressives". Luckily, your side is restrained by the laws of civlization as well. What about you? Do you hate Christians?

That's true. I've been so ashamed of the leftist protests during the Bush administration that came armed with assault rifles and carrying signs that threatened armed revolt ("we came unarmed this time") and that quote about the "tree of liberty". There have even been prominent left wing and atheist leaders, actual politicians running for office or in office, who've spoken about secession or "2nd amendment remedies". And then there's all the death threats and...

...oh wait, those were all Tea Partiers during the Obama administration following the oh-so provocative legislation that requires health insurance companies to use lube when the screw us. Sorry, I got confused there for a moment.

Seriously, can you name any prominent atheist or liberal leaders who've spoken about violence, rebellion, acts of terror, etc? Can you even show any evidence to indicate that such violent feelings are wide spread? I personally have received two death threats so far. How many have you racked up?

I've been paying considerably more attention than you have if that's the best answer you can come up with. Iraq? Annexed by the US in 2003? Invaded illegally, a country where there was no terrorism to speak of before 2003 and has since been blown to bits by the US and you've got the cheek to pretend that was because of "islamic terrorism"? Give over.

Where are these "other places" then?

While it is true that the US invaded illegally and Bush and his cronies should be prosecuted for war crimes, the violence unleashed has primarily been Sunni vs. Shia. There's a long standing hatred between these two groups, a hatred kept in check only by the brutality of Saddam.

Or are you going to suggest that all the violence has been perpetrated by undercover CIA agents?
