Lastest development in Smollett case

Not really, but there's something to be said for equality under law even when that equality expresses itself as evading consequence.  If we're going to have a discussion about how it's a shame that this or that person doesn't get the book thrown at them then we'd better be in the habit of consistently throwing books.  I'm simply noting that we aren't, and that probably -is- a shame.

Okay and if we have discussions about other situations, it would also be a shame that certain other individuals aren't doing time. But right now we're talking about Smollett... but you seem to be insistent on changing the subject in order to take attention away from Smollett. This is a trend with you.

Nutballs are calling for blood in this case..for what?  Because a guy tried to lie his way into a better paygrade?  Filed a false police report?  Sure, lemme go grab my torch and khakis....lol.

Yea, calling for blood is extreme. I don't want blood, I want a racist asshole to be put behind bars for thinking he can fake a hate crime and get away with it.

Yet another guy who is just pissed off that Smollett was caught. Claiming that he did this simply to increase his brand value is a lie. He did this to incite hatred and probably violence. As I've said before, Smollett probably would have been real pleased with himself if his deception had not been detected, and a some white teenagers with MAGA hats got assaulted out of retaliation for Smollett's retarded attempt at a false flag operation. Smollett did this primarily because he wanted to increase hatred. It was a hate crime.

I'd be inclined to agree that it was a hate crime but it's a bit harder to prove than physically attacking someone because they're X race and yelling Y and Z slurs at them. Smollett is certainly a racist piece of shit. No doubt about it.

The most horrendous part of it all though is it gives the right ammunition to dismiss further hate crimes.

I actually heard some idiots on the left say Smollett shouldn't be punished because he was proving a good point. SMDH. The stupidity is immeasurable.

In mere reality, it actually does matter which group of hateful people "have the power".  But...you know..carry on with this whole white MAGAts under attack line of bullshit.

You don't need to have power to be a racist though; if you discriminate or demonstrate hateful prejudice against people based on race, you're a racist. And I'm against racism in all forms.
