As I said.  You will be saved from cold intellectualism and restored into warm Relationships of Love.  Where Love and Wisdom rule vs your fear and punishment you are presently existing in.  The evidence is supplied by @Abaddon_ire that it is very "Real". 




As is said.  You being blind is the problem here.  Jesus will restore your eyesight.  And the evidence is starting to show.

You just didn't understand the answer.  They knew God said they should not eat of that tree. The knew the right thing to do that they can eat of all the trees.  And they knew wrong that they should not eat of the tree of Knowledge.   Desire comes in when you want to do something that you know you should not do.  They enjoyed looking at the tree to eat the fruit that they knew God said they should not eat.  Because then they would be dead.  They desired something they should not do.

For them to know about good & evil, they would first have to eat of the Tree of Knowledge for them to know that it was wrong.

You play around this little piece of logic in an desperate and foolhardy attempt to dodge that.

You missed me.  I honestly answered all your questions.    But you admitted that you were not honest in your approach.  

In short, God could've put that tree on Mars, making it inaccessible,

Better still.   Without going to that extreme He could just have left it out of creation.  

but because God's a dick he put it right in front of them in the Garden of Eden. Or so the story goes.

You don't understand the "choice".  To force others to obey is not Love.  Without a choice they didn't have any other option than being "obedient".  Like putting your dog on a leash and showing everyone how much your dog "loves" you by not running away.    You have to set it free.  If it comes back to you then it shows its "love".

This boils down to you too.  You are also there in Eden.  In Adam and Eve.  You have a choice to Love God or yourself.  To allow God to be your Father or being your own "father".  God is a Father at heart.  And He does not force Himself on others.  You have to choose Him.  You choose to eat of the Tree of Life or the tree of knowledge.   Where the last choice is being God yourself and creating your own life.  And the first is to allow God to take you into His Life.  Being born His Child and growing up with Him as your Father.

Seems to me he could just have left quietly?

Or maybe it is human mentality.  Believing still in "punishment".  So he is "punishing me".  By hiding away?   Like Adam and Eve in Eden after they did wrong?
