If i'm being lazy and have to do something, I just weigh up the consequences of not doing it and doing it. This helps me get on, also by weighing up the pluses and minuses it also stops me being to pedantic on doing menial tasks that can actually wait.

And that's not the problem at all. Things are always worth more than lying around all 'woe is me'. Your problem is that you are all 'woe is me' and thus won't listen to anything anyone tells you. You'll hear it all right, but it'll come in as 'bzzzzzzzzzzz'.

There's only one way out of it, and that way is by doing something. Get off the forums today and make a friend. Or find a great job. Or meet a movie star. Or graffiti a wall.

What are you doing here anyway? I'll tell you: moping. Making excuses. So stop what you're doing, because there's a whole world out there waiting for you, and you are ignoring its limitless potential.

I'm quite enjoying the forums at the moment actually. And It's my best option at the moment.

Don't ask questions you don't want answered...

But no. Fuck it all.

RE: Self-Motivation
I really tried to set myself a NY resolution to get fit. I have my bro's wedding in May, and it's going to be on a beach, and there will be lots of photos, and I don't want to look like a fat fucker in all those photos.

HOWEVER. I am still not motivated to get up and do anything. I, like suggested earlier in the thread, have to be in the 'mood'. If I'm not in the mood then I'm content to just sit there and say "I'll do it tomorrow". This morning for instance I planned on going out early and getting a haircut and some healthy food from the town centre. Turns out I just lay in bed and said to myself "can't be arsed".

It's really frustrating, telling yourself to do something and making yourself do something are two completely different things. Sure it's down to my own laziness but breaking that habit is hard as fuck.

It is. But I promise you, Nap, once you start really exercising you'll find you enjoy it a lot. It's one of my favorite parts of the week - it really feels good to spend a half hour on the elliptical.

It's not like I've never exercised. I used to do Tae Kwon Do on a regular basis and was pretty fit. But for some shit reason I just can't get into it now.
