I am surprised no body put this up.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)
'I am driven by two main philosophies:
Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain

I just bottled my first batch this week, a Canadian ale variety....I started the fermentation in early February. I took a taste of the leftovers and now think Aussies are crazy for eating Vegemite.

Ummm I don't think so. More likely "Pissed Off!"

Shit mate :S ...then you must have done something wrong and your beer will taste like piss.
Isn't that what Vegemite is...the yeast scum on the sides of a beer fermentor after fermentation with added salt and spices?

I have to say that Vegemite sounds so disgustingly vile that I need to try it. Might actually be good.

The funniest thing was when I first read the fine print on the Fosters can, after seeing the "Fosters, Austrian for beer" it read "Made in Canada". So when you eat sushi at a local Japanese joint it is made in Japan?

The worst swill of beer is the cheep malt beer. One of the funniest spoofs was on Futurama where Bender drank "Old Fotran" instead of "Old English".

They actually banned sale of that in Washington DC.

Just broke into a homebrewed grape mead (honey wine) that I started back in January. Drinks like juice, and goes straight to your head. 14% alcohol - wheeee!!!
