I'd rather you took them, all of them. When can we arrange this? The trouble, Mystic, is that I do not require their help. They've quite clearly caught on to this annoying little tidbit, and so step number one is to tell me just how broken and worthless I am, so that they can then "help" me. That's not help, that's a con, a classic one. Some of us just aren't buying what they're selling, doesn't seem to stop them from being pushy salesmen though. Maybe a poll about respect is in order?

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What do I actually do? Walk away, unless it's on a forum to which I belong. A rare occurrence here in my state. Occasionally we get a small group in the city mall. When they start using loud speakers, the police cart them off. Although Aussies are fairly laid-back,we tend to have a healthy suspicion of and contempt for proselytisers of all kinds. The same goes for dickheads who bung a flag in their front yard. Here love of country is assumed, needing no displays of vulgar ostentation. We leave that to the Americans.Angel Cloud

That's not my experience. As for people putting a flag in their garden, I'm not sure what relevance that has but that doesn't bother me either. If they love their country good for them.

How many times have we had someone come here and regurgitate nothing but chunks of scripture and warmed-up Hovind like a well-programmed robot? If these things are their own opinion, they probably should get out more.

I really don't mind people preaching. It has never bothered me. If they really get in my face that would piss me off but it's never happened.

Never eh? Stick around. Try disagreeing with them, or even :gasp: asking for evidence.

That's not my experience. I find that when we disagree, we disagree amicably.

Most likely because you are an accommodating person. Clap Some things are beyond accomodation for me, beyond negotiation, beyond compromise. Probably makes you a better person, but I don't lose any sleep over it.

Partly because of that (it certainly pays to be accomodating) and partly because they are accomodating. That's my experience anyway.
