Only 26% of Irish Catholics believe in transubstantiation

RE: Only 26% of Irish Catholics believe in transubstantiation
Dawkins can be pretty silly sometimes.

But actually only 60% of American Catholics even know what Transubstantiation even is. Catechesis is very weak.

Following the Commandments of God is also a core tenet of Catholicism, but I think most atheists would say a Catholic murderer was still a Catholic.
Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.

Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.

Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

I went to a Catholic high school, and at least one teacher I had explicitly stated that if you didn't believe in Transsubstantiation, you simply didn't count as a Catholic.

Also, according to this summary of the Dogmas of Catholicism, the doctrine of Transsubstantiation is a "De Fide" dogma.

A "De Fide" dogma is the highest level of Catholic Dogma. Any doctrine marked "de fide" is considered essential to Catholicism and anyone deviating from it is a heretic.

LOL please do not tell me what "De Fide" means.

Any deviation from any sort of Catholic dogma counts as heresy if its done with full knowledge and consent. This includes the entirety of the CCC and the Commandments as well.

But we can say with certainty that anyone who said "this person murdered, therefore they are not a Catholic" would be a "no true Scotsman", correct? The same thing applies here.

Except that transubstantiation is a core tenet of catholicism, so it isn't.

Oh, forgive me, I thought when I made a statement that clearly defines Christianity scripturally, and pointed to the fact that Hitler never came close to the idea of said statement, let lone prove it by his actions, when you ran up the flag of NO True Scotsman, I had violated your precious little statement. So I guess I did not, seeing that the statement made was of the same idea and notion. You do know that a core tenet to Christianity is love thy neighbor don't you, Hitler tried to kill all his.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I'm sure I recall you saying that actions were less important than belief in god.

And ol' Adolf was big on calling on god to justify his actions.
