Annoying conversation.. "But you're such a good person!"

Beat the fucking shit out of her!
LOL ... I'm kidding people!! I would probably enjoy many future debates with her at work. It's quite enjoyable to watch people like that defend a Bible they likely have never read. I love watching their faces turn to horror when you show them the god approved rapes and murders right in their own Bible. Most christians like her don't know shit about the god they've been praying to ... and it's like batting around a mouse.
Tell her it's just a mask you wear in public and that you blaspheme, curse god, praise krakatoa, and eat girl children when you're with the others at the atheist coven.

Trying to update my sig ...
What I want to know is how a person who needs some outside agency (like a god) to tell her what's right and what's wrong can consider herself "good". Unless she defines "good" not as good, but as "doing what God wants". Which - if we read what purports to be part of his autobiography - shows him to be a bloodthirsty megalomaniacal tyrant who's not above using others to get his jollies.
They usually tell you that you are taking the bloody parts out of "context. In addition to "puns" the idiots don't know what "context" means, either.
You cannot deal rationally with the irrational. I would suggest you use the Car Alarm Maneuver: "STEP AWAY FROM THE NUT" (June 15, 2012 at 1:03 pm)torashl Wrote: So I was eating lunch with people yesterday, and one of them wanted to see my future by reading my palm. I thought it was cool so I let him, and he asked me if I was religious or believed in any god and I said no. Later that day, my friend that was also there started to ask me about it. She said something like, "I noticed he was reading your palm and you said you didn't believe in god. Why?" I said, "Because I don't.." Then she started going all "he gave you life, you breathe because of him, etc.." Then I told her I didn't believe in that and then she said, "Why did you deny him? You know, the bible says that that if you deny the lord in front of your friends, you will be denied to his face." Then I said, "Well, I don't believe that either.." She told me that she was shocked because I was such a nice person but didn't believe in god. I pointed out to her that you can be a good person and still not believe in god or be religious and it was just annoying.. I can't stand when people do that! With all the home schooling going on to curtail kid's exposure to non-Christians this sort of thing will probably happen more often now. I'm sure she'll have an experience or two in school where she is made to feel marginalized for the narrowness of her point of view. Well, for her sake I hope so. Then we'll find out if her parents attempt to clone themselves in her were successful.
The bible also says women should shut their fucking faces about what the bible says. Maybe she needs to be reminded of that.

Hey, here's an idea. Tell her you are just very close to losing your religion altogether. The only thing that could save it is being with a good (hot) Christian girl.
Nail her and then her tell "Nope, it didn't work." Quote:She told me that she was shocked because I was such a nice person but didn't believe in god. She is a stupid, patronisng twat. I hope you laughed in her face. |
