Just for future reference, this is why I don't respond to you….

Because you are a cowardly troll, and to admit the truth would mean the end of your game.

Quote:actually it is far more your misrepresenting of my arguments or ignoring them, and then triumphing over your dead straw men.
Your sad attempt at dedlection is not going to get you out of anything.

Prove it's a straw man. Quit being evasive and diahonest, and describe your so-called experience with your god-figure. You hung it out here, back it up or GTFO.

Same reason you don't believe in Pink Unicorns. See that is the thing about reality, we don't need long winded gap fiction to state the obvious.

Alright, I'll give it a shot. I apologize in advanced if this is repeated because I haven't read all the posts, I've read quite a few but not all..

You said in one post ''Great minds like; Darwin...'' I stopped reading there because wouldn't that be a little bit of a contradiction since, you know....His theories on evolution and all ? A theory is just a theory until proven to be a fact, but to me it already makes too much sense and I believe this over any other story. Especially the one over Adam and Eve.

If evolution was a fact, there would be no need for a God, nature takes it's course and finds it's own way.

For the sake of argument let's just say Darwin's theory was a fact, Christians would still say; ''God wanted it that way.''

It is a way too much of an easy answer to give.

''I hung my laundry out to dry, it dried sooner than I thought, because God wanted it that way.'' - Please. . .

You can't prove, in the physical world where we can all see and hear that God spoke to you. Or God made your laundry dry quicker. We can show you, mathematical or otherwise, how the sun was at it's hottest point, you hung your clothes in a proper angle and there wasn't too much wind.

This you can write on paper, and everyone see's the same numbers and letters [in English] But nobody knows the sound of the voice of God.

''Even if I wanted to, I can't tell you because it is so divine.''

Yeah, that's just like saying; ''I have a million dollars on my bank account, but I can't show you the proof, you will just have to take my word for it.''

This is why to me Anti Theism and Atheism is so cool. Because the facts and knowledge is something we can all experience. It's not held back for anyone.

''Because God said so.'' What people have read, in a book, in the physical world, written by a human, who got it from another human, who got it from another, who learned it from another and learned it from another who told the story first. Sounds like a high school gossip story to me.

Last chapter in the Bible, New Testament: ''God shall take away his part out of the book of life.''

How the hell did they know God has a book? Because one guy, told 12 others guys? And they told them, and they told them, and so on and so forth?

I haven't read the entire bible [yet] but if Jesus didn't say God had a book, who did? Oh, let me guess, it's not an ordinary book, it's shiny and sunlight comes out when you open in. But your name is written in it anyhow. Does God have a pen or does he use divine magic ink? A divine typewriter?

''And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.'' They knew, long before, it would just all be in your head......

Haha, this is too much fun, I could go on and on, but I'll end it here...

Oh, come on, you're gonna make me do this? Tongue

I think you've got a bit of a misconception about scientific theories, here; the standard anti-evolution canard is that "evolution's just a theory!" But all that shows is the marked ignorance of the person making that claim; a scientific theory is different from the standard definition. In science, a theory is a framework that explains observed facts; you've got the theory of gravity that explains all aspects of that phenomena, germ theory of disease that explains that, etc etc.

In this case, you don't have to say "for the sake of argument," that Darwin's theory is a fact because... the theory of evolution is a fact! We've observed it happening under laboratory conditions with fruit flies, germs develop resistance to antibiotics because of evolution, the various breeds of dogs owe their existence to the fact that evolution is a real process that's happening, and all of that is discounting the genetic and fossil evidence that simply proves, unequivocally and conclusively, that evolution is a fact.

Hell, to see how true this is, you only have to look at the claims of those denying evolution, the intelligent design movement; I have yet to find a single claim by those charlatans that wasn't a specific, direct denial of evolutionary facts. Since they claim that intelligent design is science it should be able to make its own hypotheses to test, but the truth is that it doesn't, it only responds to claims made by real science. Tongue

Anyway, don't want to derail things too much, just... hey: theory and fact. Wink

I appreciate the clarification... If I add your comment to mine, does it make my argument stronger ?
