Atheism is the punk rock of religion

I didn't think you'd be honest enough to.

That was you arguing with Rhythm that atheists can have supernatural beliefs. Which they can and do. Why not pop into your thread and defend that BTW?

I presented the prominant view here on AF, as stated. It isn't my view. I'm presenting you with what others on this forum, and in that thread about your claims, you will find to be true.

You said that this was my claim, when it was not. You misquoted me saying that was all that I said, and it wasn't all that I'd said. the obove quote of my post which you refused to even check proves that conclusively.

(August 1, 2012 at 2:43 pm)RaphielDrake Wrote: So what? Thats still a statement you presented as being your view and you say nothing to counter-act that being the case.
It isn't my view, as I have shown.

Here you acknowledge that other peoples opinions are involved.
Are you pulling ageism again? Are you suggesting that I should be wiser than yourself by virtue of age?

Well that's that one dealt with. Lets move on to fail #2.

RaphaelDrake Wrote:Consumerism is *not* a religion and neither is Atheism. Deal with it.
Then why did you quote a dictionary saying:-
RaphaelDrake Wrote:Re-lig-ion

"A pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance. IE consumerism is the new religion"

We've already agreed upon the other definition of religion covered by your quote. I'm not interested in that. What I'm interested in persuing is your other interesting point: that atheism, LIKE consumerism, can be a persuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance to. ie atheism is the new religion.

Contraction opportunity 2.
Did you in fact concede the above point? As you have been quoted clearly doing. Or do you deny that?

Remember: we both agree that atheism isn't a religion in the sense that Christianity, Islam or Judaism is a religion. Please don't roll that one out YET again after we've cleared that one away SO many times now. Thanks Wink

Yes they can have atheistic views but they are not labelled atheists. They are labelled by the beliefs they do have before the ones they don't. I've repeated this over and over but it doesn't seem to penetrate.
May I also thank you for the delicious irony of you implying me to be dishonest, I'm sure it was not lost upon the readers and that they gained as much bemusement from it as I did.

It was *never* stated that it was not your view. That is an outright fabrication and I demand you make some effort to back it up this instant.

Again, you make claims but make no effort to back them up.

Where? Cut and paste the exact bit, I want to see it.

A simple query, I genuinely don't know your age. If I was to decide based on your answers I'd say 15-16. Claiming your wiser than anyone here is a claim with even less evidence than your ridiculous beliefs.

Not really but whatever, I'm used to non-answers from you.

Am I going to have to explain what a comparison is? Is that where we're at? That I actually have to explain to you consumerism and atheism is comparable to religion but isn't actually religion? If I say a chicks hot I don't actually mean shes of an elevated temperature but that is a use of the word hot. How many more times am I going to have to go over this with you before you yourself are bored by your bumbling incompetence to come up with any other line of reasoning that hasn't already been covered.

What point? You mean the one I've countered repeatedly or are you presenting some other?

I see the claim you were going to approach each "fail" one at a time instead of squeezing them into one post evaporated quickly. I can't be bothered to even feign shock you broke your word once again.

Raphael. You clearly have a problem with the English language. What's crystal clear to everyone else is a mystery to you. I don't think I'll be wasting any more time trying to educate you. I've seen people argue black is white but never so brazenly as you. You'll definitely have a problem understanding this post. So be it. The Nile is a river in Egypt.

Some people think they have been abducted by aliens, but I don't believe that either.

Again, you blame your lack of a plausible argument on a lack of understanding on the part of everyone who calls it out for the bullshit it is.
I imagine the only education you could offer anyone is in waste disposal based on the massive amounts of verbal diarrhoea that erupt from you on a regular basis.
Black & White? This coming from someone who believes anyone who does not buy into his particular brand of rubbish will not be let into Heaven. Yeah, good one.
The Nile is a subject of considerable debate which I do not claim to have expertise on. I am however perfectly capable of identifying someone in denial and you most certainly fit the bill.

Well I'm sure the people who read your insults, your deflections, your hilariously inadequate retorts and your inevitable retreat will come to their own conclusions.
Take care now won't you? :-)
