I suppose you're gonna claim that he could count the number of animals in his flock either.
The bible records Abraham as being very wealthy. The dude hung out with Kings and Pharaohs. Do you really think he had no wealth? No ability to reckon financial matters?
His father Terah had years and years and years (205?) to teach Abraham how to read and write.
Here's some commerce for you - book keeping.
"And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold."(Genesis 13:2)
...so wealthy in fact that Abraham had herdsmen to do his work.
You honestly believe that people at the time lived over 200 years? I suppose you also believe that after God was shown up in Egypt by the fact that Pharoah's court magicians could do the same tricks God then resorted to afflicting the livestock he already slaughtered with boils as a means of intimidation. You jews, my special people, better paint your doors because even though I know everything and your my special people there's a chance that when I come I might confuse you with your oppressors. How again exactly did 70 people multiply into three million in just a few hundred years, while existing as slaves?
Reckon financial matters? Reckon hell, damn near killed him.

Estimates run from 1-3 million over a 400 year period. With the population increasing at 5 times the previous 20 year period then to reach a population in the millions would have been easy. They were not slaves the entire 400 years the first 100 years or so they were free citizens of Egypt.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Quote:Ezekiel 29:8-12
New International Version (NIV)
8 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast. 9 Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
“‘Because you said, “The Nile is mine; I made it, ” 10 therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush.[a] 11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years. 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
Never fucking happened.
The problem with you clowns is that you treat this bullshit as prophecies....
I believe the Neo-Assyrian Empire actually did decimate Egypt's 25th (and last independent) dynasty around 670 BC:
As king of Assyria, Esarhaddon immediately had Babylon rebuilt, and made it one of his capitals. Defeating the Scythians, Cimmerians and Medes (again penetrating to Mt. Bikni), he then turned his attention westward to Phoenicia—now allying itself with the Nubian/Kushite rulers of Egypt against him—and sacked Sidon in 677 BC. He also captured King Manasseh of Judah and kept him prisoner for some time in Babylon (2 Chronicles 33:11). Having had enough of Egyptian meddling, Esarhaddon raided Egypt in 673 BC. Two years later he launched a full invasion and conquered Egypt, chasing the Pharaoh Taharqa back to Nubia, thus bringing to an end Nubian-Kushite rule in Egypt, and destroying the Kushite Empire which had begun in 760 BC. The Babylonian Chronicle retells how Egypt "was sacked and its gods were abducted" (ABC 1 Col.4:25); also in ABC 14:28–29. The pharaoh Tirhakah fled Egypt, and a stele commemorating the victory, was set up at Sinjerli in Asia Minor, north of the Gulf of Antioch, and is now in the Pergamon Museum, Berlin. The Bible graphically recounts Egypt's demise in Isaiah 20:4 "So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even withtheir buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.5 And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, andof Egypt their glory."

But please tell me: Why do you believe this never happened?

Back to the topic, GC: I think I might have found a solution to the apparent contradiction mentioned in the OP, if you care to take a look at it with me. My torch is lit. Have you unsheathed your sword of the spirit?

Yes, I think Terah lived to be 205 as reported. And that Pharaoh had sorcerers in his palace. And I think the painting of the doors was not for God's benefit. The instruction was pretty clear.
Folk had to decide whether or not they believed the warning.
Not everybody DID.

Do yourself a favor and find out what execration texts, are. This happy horseshit of yours makes more sense as that than as "prophecy."

Why can't you find a goddamned sorcerer when you need one in the here and now? Demons only reach out to those they can easily deceive. If a sorcerer used demonic powers on national television, people at the wrong stage (from Satan's point of view) would learn that, indeed, a spiritual world exists. And they might be led to Christ--the very person a demon wants you to avoid. If you are already dwelling in materialism (and therefore separated from the Truth of God), a demon has no need to show himself to you. There have been plenty of documentations of spiritual encounters--exorcisms and the like. Most happen to people who are already aware of the spiritual realm. Satan has his goals, just as God does. If revealing their existence will not help win you to their side, they will remain in the background. Satan is most dangerous when you don't know he's there.
Check out "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis for more insight. It is written from a demon's point of view.
