I can also see how it is disrespectful, and I hope he knows just how much shit this could stir up for him among the right wing extremists. It was incredibly stupid of him and even though I usually just give a flying fuck I can also see why so many people are angry. US did give him a place to live, it gave him citizenship, it even sent him to the Olympics, and then when he won he didn't have the decency to just hold up the US flag. It's quite amazing to me how stupid of a move that was.

certainly wasn't a great move. there are plenty of olympians from here that compete in the olympics for their home country. no harm no foul. so for him to compete for the us yet pick up and wave another flag will cause him some strife and he deserves it, even tho it doesn't make me really pissed, personally.

It did piss me off at first, until I realized it was sports and I couldn't really be bothered to give two shits. Then I got over it. I think the sheer stupidity pissed me off more than anything. Like seeing the idiots up there thanking "God" for helping them win, lol. Stupidity at any level I guess is what just annoys me most about things like this.
