Isn't the 2012 thing just the end of the Mayan long count? I hate the fact that for every year since as long as people can remember, someone has said "this is the year the world will end", and when it doesn't, they simply repeat the same prediction the next year.

I agree. All end-time prophecies bug me, but the 2012 one in particular. They try and hide an idiotic prediction behind a screen of historical and mystical legitimacy.

- Whenever I hear "It's a miracle", like "the miracle on the Hudson" or any mention of a miracle. Usually for mundane things too, like I was watching Animal Cops Miami and this lady called 3 sibling rottweilers being adopted within 2 hours of each other a miracle. e_e

- When people say other people are going to hell. Like when I saw people say Bernie Madoff needs to go to hell. He stole some money and deserves the sentence he got, but be tortured forever because he stole money? There's some cognitive dissonance there. I don't think people realize how horribly immoral the concept of hell is.

- People on cell phones, especially when they are loud or at a counter ordering something.

- People who go on an elevator to go up or down 1 floor. (Unless they are handicapped)

- People who aren't paying attention on the street and walk super slow. It's especially annoying when it's a group and you want to get around them but can't.

Woah!! That's defo one of mine...and amazingly it's never occurred to me consciously (other than when it's actually happening..) - I can't believe I've never thought about how much that actually annoys me.

And people who jump traffic queues following hot on the tails of emergency vehicles. Wow that's annoying.

I know someone who claimed quite proudly that he did that ... I think he was a bit shocked at the reaction he got from us (I think he's stopped doing it).

Id join that group, but facebook is one of my pet hates.

I feel that way about myspace. I thought facebook was just as bad, but it's not. It has a few cool things I like using, like to create events and getting people together. I also have twitter linked to it and my examiner.com posts go to twitter and then facebook. Helps some friends keep track of my posts.

People *cough*Pippy*cough* who ask for a response to their argument, and when presented with one, refuse to counter it because they read some kind of attitude into it when there isn't one, and then proceed to make up lies in order to make themselves seem like the victim!
