Why do they think people give two tosses what mentally negligable people like Chuck Norris say? They generally do not.

If I wan't an opinion on politics, i'd rather hear from an asshole like Karl Rove or someone who works for a political think tank, or an academic. You know, the people who work in the politics industry.

Celebs on politics, Facepalm

Because America is obsessed with our celebrities and rather ambivalent about our academics. Most American's know who Chuck Norris is and sadly have little idea about anyone who is actually knowledgeable on anything important.

Obama isn't a socialist. He's a fascist, like all the other of post-constitutional American politicians.

Here's what Dusty has to say on the matter.btw I can't seem to post links anymore has something changed and I'm not aware of it? The url copies and pasts quite well, it just no longer displays. I'm going to leave this post as it is and hope it gets fixed.

I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

I know. It's funny to see some of the hyperbole that's coming from the political machines, especially in election year. It's also interesting to look back at the doom and gloom ideas in hindsight. In 1992, Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the right wing brigade was predicting the death of the nation because Clinton was elected. Now, if you look back, they were dead wrong; we had a period of tremendous peace and prosperity while Clinton was in office. Now, though, the same people who were telling us how awful a Clinton presidency would be have changed their tune; they're saying Clinton was good but now Obama will cause the death of the nation.

The Chuck Norris Plan:
1. Become famous because people think you are infinitely strong and smart
2. Spew bullshit about religion and politics, people believe you

The true beauty of a self-inquiring sentient universe is lost on those who elect to walk the intellectually vacuous path of comfortable paranoid fantasies.

Worse than that, most have no idea who is even in office. Most recognize Chuck Norris, but ask them who their Senator or Representative is or the Speaker of the house.

The majority of Americans are uninformed and the best way to get in their heads is through celebrities. Just ask any advertising company.

I fear you mean a nuclear winter.

It's more than that. These little trophy wars that republicans love so much - except when they bite them in the ass - are meant to give a little flag-waving exercise to the dolts who like to shout "We're #1."
