Don't be ridiculous! It's never irrational to hate the French, fucking French! And the Scottish, we shoot Scots on sight here right?! Now where's Frankie gone?

Yeah that's why I went to effort of posting the thread. Because I don't give a shit about the one thing I asked about.

I don't believe it takes effort to read a common forum post... but then maybe I am biased.

I see a lot of familiar faces.
Many of you might already know me from TTA. I'm a regular over there. I'm more or less an open book.
I work in education. I live in a swamp that's the size of a state. I've got a hot wife and two kids.
I probably enjoy my son's Thomas toys more than he does.
I am (or was) an avid gamer. My favorite genre is turn base RPGs. I love Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror. I read. A lot.
I study theology on my own. I consider myself a very amateur scholar. With that, I also study Greek and Hebrew.
I love guns. And knives. And swords. And axes. And maces. Really, any weapon. Got a whole collection.
I'm a Libertarian. Probably going to vote for Romney simply because he's the lesser of two evils when it comes to my Libertarian ideals.
I teach in my church. I've also been disallowed from teaching in my church because I'm a Calvinist.
I believe in evolution. I love science. I'm a dork for science-y stuff.
That's about it off the top of my head.

Yeah, everything is fine here. I heard on the radio that Dundee had apparently flooded, I don't actually know where they got this info, because it really isn't that bad. We are used to it.
Dundee is built on a big hill, so it is only very small areas of the waterfront that flood anyway.

What are you doing round these parts, ya slimy dog?
Good to see more familiar faces.

I could tell you more about myself, but then I'd have to kill you.

I imagine it would be more effort than it's worth considering this is an online forum... That, and everyone could see your post(s) (unless you PMed) so we'd all be in trouble...

I'm a network engineer in Los Angeles without a college degree. I worked my way up in the trenches.
I surf as often as possible.
I have a beautiful artist girlfriend with similar musical tastes as me. Which is unique, because I listen to some pretty obscure and 'out there' stuff, which normally has a male dominated audience.

That's interesting. I consider myself a libertarian, but I'm going to vote for Obama since he's the lesser of two evils when it comes to my libertarian ideals.
The Libertarian Party supports the legalization of drugs, pornography, prostitution, gambling, removal of restrictions on homosexuality, opposes any kind of censorship and supports freedom of speech, and supports the right to keep and bear arms. They are somewhat split on abortion, but the majority think it should be the woman's right to choose. The Libertarian Party's platform states: "Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships.". Does this describe your position?
Seems many that consider themselves libertarians only seem to adopt the economic position of libertarians, but skip over all the social positions and personal freedoms that go along with libertarianism.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
