More than likely, it will go out. Have all your flashlights/lanterns out and easy to get at in the dark. Put one in the bathrooms, too, if you have them to spare.

We've had a couple of flickers, but still have power. Though judging from the neighborhood listerve, some neighbors are extremely displeased that they've lost power.

My other son, also on Long Island but closer to the city, has had a few outages but it has come back on. Probably transformers shorting out and being reset.
