What are the similarities between the stories of the Old Testament and the Sumerian King List? Do the Biblical stories of people that lived for hundreds of years have their origins in Sumerian fairy tales?

The funniest thing to me about the attempts to justify superhuman aging that is mentioned in the old testament is the fact that Christians do it at all. I mean when you believe something so ridiculous, why even bother? If I claimed my ancestors were made out of green cheese, do I come up with a possible explanation as to how it would be possible? No. Any explanation for people living to be close to a thousand years old are going to fall well short. Just admit you believe in silly shit for no real reason and let the rest of us move on.
