That would be a neat over-laying sheet, but there are many, many kinds of cognitive biases. I'm trying to think of one (maybe a combo of 2) of them.

For a modern-day example, the GOP's immigration policy is almost purely racist, and just because it is easy to disguise that racism in terms of jobs, economy or legality doesn't mean the racism is not there. And, any large Tea Party convention is a great place to find racists out in the open and on parade.

Can you actually find evidence though that the reason the majority or even a sizable minority of conservatives are against immigration because is they're racist? You say they "disguise" their racism but how do you know there's any racism to disguise in the first place?

And what makes you think a few people out of hundreds at a tea party convention is representative of the whole?

I'm not denying that there are racists among conservatives. I'm just skeptical of the notion that they're a force of any significance in the ideology today.

Of course many conservatives were racists 50 plus years ago but it seems to me most of those sorts of conservatives are dead now.

Have you read any of the signs you see at tea party rallies? They're attacking Obama, which should be expected from Republican groups, but they seem to delight in calling him a coon. Or a ni**er. Or a monkey. Or comments about him eating watermelon or fried chicken. Or any one of a dozen other racial stereotypes aimed directly at black people. Now, take this group of people and think about the elected officials they would put in office. Do you see racial sensitivity being a big concern of theirs?

....and did you know that the Occupy Wall Street movement received endorsements from both the Communist Party USA and also from the Nazi Party?....One black lady, (a member of the CPUSA), who was attending a OWS rally in LA made anti-semitic remarks against Jews...does that mean that all blacks and the entire OWS movement are racists and anti-semitic Nazi Jew haters? (They're attacking Jews, which should be expected from Democrat groups,).

The people who are most offended by 'racist terms' are middle class white people who don't know how to mix with other cultures perhaps. All I know is to mix with others is impossible if you're treading on eggshells because of political correctness.

I don't doubt that. But how many are we talking about?

Maybe 1/4 or less. That's what I'd guess, anyway. I have no numbers and I can't with any intellectual honesty proclaim that I know every racist in the Republican party.

It's hard to determine what exactly is racism because we have certain white people switching from attacking a minority outright and instead going for the stereotypical religious affiliation of that group because they are afraid of political correctness.

Racism nowadays is a punchline. If you're a racist, people make fun of you, and the racism of the past is something to scoff at with the lenses of hindsight.
