What one thing would disprove Christianity to you?

That's an argument from ignorance. We don't have any examples of something coming from nothing, because we don't have any examples of absolute nothingness. All we have is a lot of somethings turning into other somethings.

Abso-bloody-lutely Min. Their hypocrisy boils my piss more and more each day. Think I need to take a time out for a few days to calm back down!

Don't get mad N&C - get even. I think that hypocrisy is why I love shitting all over them and their fucking religions.

Great, since you obviously believe that something can't be created from nothing, you have a few choices.

1. God is eternal. (In which case the universe might as well be eternal, negating the need for a god.)

2. God was created out of nothing. (But you just said that's impossible, so you really just have the first one.)

3. God is neither eternal nor created. (This is a contradiction of terms, and if you say it, a black hole will eat the universe. Sort of like what happens when you divide by 0.)

Quote:Um? the Quantum model that Krauss states in his pathetic book is a playful meaning of the word "nothing."

"Nothing" doesn't exist. It's a negative concept that we cannot even define.

It's possible to define it, but it's not something we can empirically examine.

Sorry to pick nits ...

True. I should have put it better. It's impossible to define if not in negative terms (abscence of anything), so it's not a concept, but the abscence of every concept.

Exactly ... I think. Wink

The important point is that we don't have much in the way of empirical evidence from which to meaningfully discuss what a "nothing" would actually be. So, saying "nothing can't produce something" is an absolutely meaningless argument, because we don't have a nothing to examine.

And now we have the real reason for all the "challenging" around here!

There is nothing any Christian can say to you non-believers that would give us even an ounce of respect.

And its humorous that some of you people of non-faith still say God kills babies!

What kind of argument is that? There is "no god" in your view...so only people kill babies. Who are you trying to convince?!

God gives and takes what is His! PERIOD

How do you explain Christian Faith to anyone who refuses to hear?

All this amounts to is a dick waving match where nothing gets accomplished...except more contempt for each side.

There is no rationalization of anything but ones own pov here...which is usually in the form of insults and ridicule. And this happens on both sides...because of being provoked.

It's like a bubbling calderon of shit around here with lumps surfacing about the place!

We may be Christians, but also human. You can only take so much negativity before being negative yourself.

And "we" as Christians must be held to a higher standard. Again humorous...because you have no moral compass...EXCEPT where "we" are concerned!

But TRUTH prevails! YOU ARE RIGHT!! We are held to a higher standard. And even you, in your non-believing nature must profess the thruth in Christ! This is amazing actually!!

Our promise is guaranteed because of our faith in Jesus! And in the last day: "Every knee shall bend, and every lip proclaim Jesus Lord."

Luke 18:8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Categorically untrue. If you roundly stated that you found the doctrine of vicarious redemption via blood sacrifice abhorrent, I'd respect the hell out of you.

Feel free to correct me, but murder, last I checked, wasn't the leading cause of death in infancy or childhood.

A questionable statement, but okay...you're humans, in that you have dicks to wave etc.....

Bzzzt, wrong again, my moral compass came factory standard, so I don't need your loaner...that's all.

Actually, what I'd "profess" is your inability to adhere to an arbitrary standard that you have set for yourself.
