Has it ever occurred to you that there might be patriotic reasons to promote a bit more modesty when we're speaking to those who live in other nations?....
You see, we practice what Jesus said, "do unto others..." America would do well to consider that admonishment...We as liberals care about America.

...It's occurred to me that you liberals and far leftists have a naive and foolish world view...here's something else Jesus said too, "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his palace, his goods are in peace...But when a stronger than he comes upon him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils."...the reason America hasn't been invaded since 1812 is because we kept ourselves economically and militarily strong....what you liberals are demanding, that America reduces its military strength as a gesture of peace and to set an example for the rest of the world to see and follow, is naive and dangerous...China has been stealing our military secrets, to trust Russia is foolhearted, our interests and our allies in the middle-east and Persian Gulf area are already at risk from nations like an almost nuclear armed Iran, not to mention the many state sponsored terrorist factions there, and North Korea continues to rattle its sabers, threatening South Korea and our forces there...if we allow our strength to waiver, then that's when we'll be spoiled by a stronger foe....Our peace is in our strength...."America would do well to consider that admonishment."

We make up 41 percent of the world's military budget. Why do we need soldiers in Germany? Belgium? Japan? Greece? Australia? Spain? Portugal? The U.K.? The Netherlands? Canada? Guatemala? Greenland? We have more troops in Japan than Hawaii and Alaska combined!

It's pathetic to think that NK's only ally would almost never stand by them in a conflict. I think we are starting to see the first rays of hope what with Un legalizing certain western foods, pants for women, encouraging trips to zoos and amusement parks, and allowing more and more people to have cellphones. He's also much less reclusive.

Then again, it could be an attempt by their government to improve living conditions so North Koreans don't realize how shitty their country really is.

No, more like mundane human behavior. There are lots of people who "wish" others wouldn't exist. But in the real world they do exist. The difference is some people can handle the "different" and other people cant.

You were debating, were you not? A personal attack (especially one made out of the desperation of being unable to answer the opponent's argument) such as his would be considered an ad hominem.

I don't care about ad homins. If it is spammy then I do. But having been equated to Stalin and Hitler and once again by even some atheist libertarians for being a "socialist", I've heard it all.
