It is also a word that force one to choose sides without seeking any further understanding or detail. If you insist on using that word then i am sure the founding fathers of this nation would be glad to welcome Jesus Christ into their "terrorist organization."

According to my ethics class, there are four things required to be classified as a terrorist:

1) You must be performing violent actions.
2) The actions are committed in order to advance a political goal.
3) The actions are targeted at a limited number of people in order to influence a wider audience of ordinary people and/or public decision makers.
4) The actions intentionally kill innocent people.

Civil war is not terrorism (you can easily cross check with my definition above). Crusades were because 1) they were performing violent actions 4) against innocent people 3) to make an example of them 2) in order to align everyone's belief with that of the state -- and you are absolutely fine with that?!

Cop-out.

I am asking to you to address, specifically, the "Kill The Gays" bill in Uganda, and explain why Jesus sees fit to allow this to happen. What is his intent?

according to dewy and his decimal system, all religious books have their own classification. They are neither to be considered Fiction nor Non-fiction.
Sorey cinny.

Do any of you want to help fallen with basic history?

-or-

do you want to try again on your own?

hint: First Look up The names I gave and what war they fought in. Then take the time to look up all of the things those guys did to start a war with King and country. Finally check everything off your list and then add the social and ecconomic toll thier actions took on the country they 'terrorized.'

Ohhh that's what we are talking about.
Have you even read the ugandan law?
Here is a wiki run down of it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uganda_Anti...ality_Bill
It is only a death sentence for gay people who rape the disabled, kids, those who knowingly spread Aids, or those or are caught repeatly trying to do one or more of these things.

The artical I found on wiki say 38 out of 53 african countries outlaw homosexuality in similar ways. So what is the big deal about uganda? It is the 'christian country' out of the lot, that evangelicals have sided with. (which btw do not have or maintain a following in uganda.. as their seems to be a shortage "southern white people" in uganda.)

To which, want you to back to what i have already said. (that you labled a copout.) That things like 'witch hunts' are cultural, at their core. These type of acts are based in ignorance and fear. neither are a sin in of themselves. Christ allows us to work out our fears and ignorance even if it leads to sin on our own. To do otherwise would negate freewill.

Soo, back to the orginal answer I gave you: "That it is not. (otherwise spelled out in the post where I spell all of this out.)"

My fault for being unclear. perhaps i should have told you to simply substitute "witch hunt" for anti gay legislation, or whatever sin is being commited in the name of christ.

Sorey cinny.

You like nicknames Drich? I would prefer that we call each other by our chosen names, as the word cinny has a certain implication of friendship and although I do not consider you my enemy, you are definitely not my friend. Unless of course you want me to come up with a clever nickname for a word that already sounds like 'dick.' Undecided
As for the Dewey* decimal system (*spelled correctly for the incompetent), you'll notice that I did not capitalize the word 'fictional', nor did I imply that the entire world had labeled it as such. I was clearly making a smart-ass comment that I assumed would be recognized as such since you are indeed on a website called ATHEIST Forums.

#1: Life imprisonment targeting specific groups is not practically different from killing them. It just takes a bit longer.
#2: How long do you think these 'criminals' will actually survive in prison?
#3: How often do you think instances of homosexuality will be made out to be 'aggravated' regardless of whether or not they are?

It is genocide, plain and simple. The goal is to eliminate homosexuals. And it is a Christian genocide, following Biblical instructions.

Quote:That things like 'witch hunts' are cultural, at their core. These type of acts are based in ignorance and fear.

Witch hunts are implicitly demanded in the Bible, as it is a sin to allow a witch to live, and Jesus explicitly demands adherence to Old Testament law.

These types of acts are inspired by a faith based in ignorance and fear.

My bad. In your previous post you mentioned something about the founding fathers and I instantly assumed you were talking about America's fight for independence.

What war did they fight in? Those names are pretty common... so I could be searching forever.

Wait, I just realised you completely ignored me identifying your past Christian comrades as down-right terrorists. I'm sorry, but you can't spin it any other way. They were immoral people and YOU support that.

Sorry Cinjin doesn't have the same ring as Sorey cinny, but if your getting your feelings hurt i will stop.

Then Plwase Show me where in the bible Christians are commanded to do what the Ugandans have done. If it is indeed as you say and they are following "Christian biblical instructions."

Again show me. Book chapter and verse.

The founding fathers insighted the REVEOLUTIONARY War through acts of Terrorism against England. (Tea party, Tar and feathering English officals like tax collectors, and even english loyalists/citizens, attacks on military supply lines, sabotage on shipping and goods sent back to england, and so on.) The Civil war was fought between the states themselves almost 100 years later. Even then men like grant and sherman were considered to be terrorist. It just depended on which side of the mason dixion line one stood.
