Who says a higher standard doesn't exist?
Atheist Forums Hall of Shame:
"The trinity can be equated to having your cake and eating it too."
... -Lucent, trying to defend the Trinity concept
"(Yahweh's) actions are good because (Yahweh) is the ultimate standard of goodness. That’s not begging the question"
... -Statler Waldorf, Christian apologist

If I'm going to say anything it may as well be odd.

I can only judge you based on my own standards and understanding. I just think saying you will enjoy watching people be scared to death kinda messed up. I'm the same person that laughs when people die in horror movies so your in good company.

The worlds burning may as well get out the marshmallows. Definitely sick and twisted but I like it.
I choose none of these things. They're all equally presumptive. They assert that he either existed and was divine, or didn't exist at all.
Historically I think it likely that a figure did exist from which people developed the Christian cult, that later became the (little c) catholic faith. I reject the notion that he was a divine being or the son of a god. I certainly don't think he's going to rise from the dead, and if he does, then I have questions for him.

Can't wait...
After watching Nightmare on Elm Street at the age of 8, and part 2 of that nightmare at the age of 12 (and finding it rather funny), this "arrival of Jesus" should be a breeze!
Oh, wait.... freight.... as in, "1. Goods carried by a vessel or vehicle, especially by a commercial carrier; cargo."... dammit, J.C. is coming back with a lot of cargo do drop on our heads?! So much for "love thy neighbor"...

Hmmm, I wonder why Muslims also believe that the coming of christ is near too.
A lot of talk started lately in Islamic forums discussing the end of times (in the context of the Hadith), they say that the signs took place for the coming of Jesus.
But what I found weird, is the mention of somebody called "Mahdee >> the guided one" who would come before christ.
Sadly all this talk is blurry, the so called signs are applicable to any time in humanity, including the time of Jesus himself !
Even in the Bible, the signs are all blurry, "rumors of war" is an example ; there were rumors of war since the stone age.
I wonder ; maybe it is not meant for us to know the time.
Why are there never enough (read, correct) choices in these polls for me???
He's here already according to scripture...
John 14:15-23
New International Version (NIV)
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."

Die of freight? Perhaps we'd best lock up Eddie Stobart, just to fuck things up.
NB for the puzzled and perplexed: Eddie Stobart's is perhaps the most famous (so they tell us) of the UK's road haulage firms. So popular with the public, they make at least as much money from merchandising (including scale models of their vehicles) as they do from freight handling. They even carry GPS transponders in their cabs so that fans can track them via SatNav.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
