I couldn't have put it better myself. You want so badly to see something like those tree shadows that "resembled" jesus. Same theory.

How ridiculous. If you want to see logic in something that isn't there surely someone would be able to point out the illogicality? That they can't sorta supports the opposite POV don't you think?
I see nothing contradictory at all in those quotes Re. Please explain.

You said that. I could say the same about non believers. It proves nothing.

Fr0d0 wanted some proof of that the bible is contradicting itself. I think thats an easy one:
When Moses got the 10 commandents did it say that shouldn't kill another human. When his people arrived to their destination, what was the first thing they did? Kill all people that lived in that town, including children and women. It says so in the bible.
if that isn't contradicting then I don't know what is.
Also the morality that is presented in the bible have been used long before the bible. Greeks had similar values and so did the Celts and the Persian empire. Before the persian empire became a centralized state did the rulers encourage that the diffrent local religions, belonging to the regions which the empire was made of, should be kept. The rulers also thought it was good with diffrent cultures and religions in the empire.
THis is something christianity doesn't agree with at all, or the bible.
So if the bible is a handbook on morality, then we shouldn't tolerate other people and kill them?
