Any questions on Islam?

But you are brain dead, and stupid. That's a fact. It's interesting you use the word "fairy tales" because that's exactly what the hypocrites said to Muhammad when he promised them victory over the Persian Empire to the East and the Syrian Byzantines to the West. They said, "Allah and His Messenger don't promise us anything except fairytales".

Keep up the arrogance and you're through in the afterlife. You're done.

Textual evidence only applies to those who believe in the text i.e muslims. You asked me a question about Islam, hence I'm obviously going to invoke Islamic text, doesn't take a genius to figure that one out bud.

I think I've been pretty clear, and I'm not sure why you would open a thread entitled "Any questions on islam" and then tacitly demand that the questioner provide information on subsects of islam, or even have knowledge of them......you're the one who's set yourself up as the "bearer of knowledge" here, in this thread..on this subject....... Undecided

No, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out, nor does it take a genius to figure out that textual evidence does not become better or worse for any given proposition based upon whether or not the reader happens to believe in it.....

I suppose, to continue the question and rephrase, what about your textual evidence should I find more compelling than the textual evidence of Zues and his lightning bolts? In what way do they differ?

No you haven't been clear. Like I said, if you're not clear, then I will not answer your questions.

So you think a person who asks a question about a book, can not quote the book? How stupid are you in reality? What country are you from? This is a scathing indictment on the education system of your nation.

Wow, this has gone downhill fairly quickly. Which one of my questions is so confusing, help me to help you.... help me.

I don't care what the hypocrites said, or what allah said, or what mohammed said, there is no point reciting it to me!

I don't care that you think I'm through in the afterlife. I do not believe there is an afterlife. Because I'm brain dead and stupid.

Lucky you're clever and believe it's all real.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

What makes you think that I would think that, and this leads to another question, is islam just a book to be quoted from?

Depends on who you ask.

Calm down.

Depends what you mean by "homosexuality". Being attracted to the same sex is not a sin. But acting upon it by engaging is sexual actions with the same gender is a sin, yes.
Says who? Does the Quran really say that? And where?

Quran defines who you can have marriage with and forbids sex outside marriage.

The hadith further elaborates on Quran, and has severe consequences to anyone caught by four witnesses doing the act.

Who's going to drop the axe on him? You? Or can "allah" handle that himself? From the tone it sounds like you'd prefer that it be a case of the former, rather than the latter. Are muslims in the habit of making supernatural threats based upon a perceived slight in personal conversation between themselves and another human being, is this part of your islam?

I'll bite. You ask me a question about the Harry Potter series, e.g. 'What was Voldemort's real name?'. I'll answer Tom Riddle, because that is indeed written many times in the book. But is Voldemort a fictional character? Oh yes, just because he's mentioned over and over in several books, it doesn't make him real.

(Though, he does live in my closet. Prove me wrong!)
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
