God is the great spirit friend
RE: God is the great spirit friend
I think that you are a cruel and slanderous person for calling me a "cuckoo" without presenting any evidence that I am, and I take that as a personal insult and consider your character to be less because you rely on dirty tricks to spread your message rather than real debate.

I don't have anything else to say. There is no reason to argue with a dishonest person.

Be honest with yourself, here. You are projecting.

I am neither cruel nor slanderous. I actually think you have a mental disorder, there are a lot of signs of it, but you're right. I'm not a M.D., so I can't make a proper diagnosis. You can be as insulted as you want, but I think it hits a sore spot because you know that I might be onto something. Nor do I rely on dirty tricks, I'm honest and open with you. The one shying away from the debate is you.

And it's truly ironic that you should ask for evidence, when you so wholly fail to do it yourself. How about I say that I feel that something ails you, and that the Goddess gave me insight to your pained inner life and that I was thus compelled to tell you?

I have presented evidence that strongly indicates that you are, indeed, "cuckoo" but you ignore it and say it isn't evidence. Much the way you dismiss any evidence that doesn't comport with your beliefs.

You again slander me without offering any evidence. You admit you are an MD but feel no problem with slandering me.

You are a sophist. I won't say anything else

No, you posted a description of schizophrenia, and you refused to deal with the fallacy in your "diagnosis" of my spiritual experience as schizophrenia based on the fact that what you are trying to prove is true.

You will probably just repeat your slanderous and deceitful accusation without even responding to what I wrote, because you don't care and because you are at heart, a dishonest person.

The fact that you would choose to use the word 'cukoo' to describe a mental health diagnosis shows that you have no compassion or love and that you are a spiritually immature person. Even a doctor who was an atheist would not attempt to stigmatize schizophrenics with the sort of callous, sophmoric attitude that you put forward.

There is no fallacy to deal with. Your self-reported spiritual experiences comport directly with the posted description of schizophrenia. I am not a psychologist or a psychiatrist but I think it is pretty clear that your mental functioning is far from what could be considered normal.

"Normal" people do not talk to god, lay in their giant sky filled with spirit beds and have god tell them they are his little spirit friends. They don't lose control of their bodies for three years because they went through a demonic ritual and let a demon take control of their actions.

"Normal" people take accountability for their actions. They don't whine and cry about being personally attacked when someone points out the fundamental ignorance of their statements.

The use of the word "cuckoo" says absolutely nothing about my attitudes toward the mentally ill. It is a common descriptor of mental illness and, though it is not necessarily the nicest or most proper moniker for the condition, it is something that everyone understands.
Now quite being all butthurt about nitpicky little things.

Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean i am lying or i don't care. I do take issue with you characterizing me as dishonest. You don't know shit about me. If you can point out even a single post where I have been willingly dishonest in any way, I will heartily apologize to you and renounce my atheism. I will gladly become a strudelite and preach the gospel of pastry to the world at large.

Let's ignore the fact that I'm educated in health care and work in the same branch for a while, and say that your god talks to me and wants me to help you. Why would that suddenly make my statement more valid in your eyes? And if I wanted to slander, I would have used bat-shit crazy or ripe for the asylum instead of cuckoo. Oh, and btw, I wrote that I'm not an M.D. Pay more attention.

Without evidence, again. Without justifying the connection. Again.

You are making fun of my name, calling mentally ill people cukkoo and slandering me. And you will not provide any evidence that I am schizophrenic, but you seem to label all religious people with specific, medical terminology that is intentionally designed to undermine their beliefs.

These are self evident statements about your character.

I am angry about the lack of love in the atheist movement, Mr Infidel. My feelings are not hurt.

But I am upset that atheists will proudly label themselves "an asshole". I am scared about the future of society. I am scared about the fact that atheists will go to great lengths to demand that Christians will follow their arguments and understand the web of complex reasoning in order to understand what they are trying to say, but will almost never extend the same courtesy for Christians.

As someone who believes somewhat in the free exchange of ideas, in democratic societies, and in the potential for debate to create a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas, I am upset about the immaturity and mean spiritedness that I see.

I am also upset that this meanspiritedness will certainly affect peoples perception of God, and their salvation.

God cannot be understood by the mean spirited.
