Isn't it funny how there are a million ways to directly experience proof of God, yet every single one of them is unverifiable?

take comfort
verification is a personal process
it will be verified when you die
one way or the other
"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

radorth Wrote:Actually the rules of logic dictate that you prove the Bible writers are liars, at least those who speak first or second hand, as required in a court of law. Stories like the Flood story or Creation are a valid exception, since we don't even have second hand witnesses. The rest you have to prove false. Otherwise you are just slandering or libelling people with no accountability yourself, and without them being able to answer you.

I'm thinking you should read up a little more on the burden of proof before trying to lecture others on the rules of logic and what they must prove. He specifically said, "Christianity fails to substantiate even the most basic of it's[sic] claims." Nowhere did he claim the bible writers are liars, so your insistence that he prove that is worthless and empty.

No one has to prove any of Christianity false when it has failed to demonstrate one iota that it is true. Claiming he is committing libel when he has clearly done no such thing is simply an attempt to discredit his statement and is, quite frankly, bullshit.

That was definitely not me who said that. I'm not Radorth.

I think Strodel realized that religion is the most profitable scam in the entire world, and Christian is number one money maker in that group.

What better way to scam people than to say:

Quote:I used to be an Atheist, but through diligent study and sound reasoning, I came to conclude that god not only exist, but that he was and is, in fact, the man called Jesus Christ.

People eat that kind of bullshit up all the time.

And Strobel is now cashing large checks exploiting them.

Let me get this straight:

You think that if:
1. God is omnipotent
2. God is omniscient
3. God is holy, all good, perfect

To deny:
4. God's justice fails to conform to some sort of external expectation of how you think it should happen

Entails:
5. God, the creator of the universe who gave everything its shape and purpose, has no moral authority

You have a very deep demonic root of pride inside your spirit if you fail to see how you would still need to subject to God even if God does not process morality in the same way that you would like. God does not have to judge the world the way that you want God to in order to be just. It would be self evident that God's morality is higher than yours, because God created everything and knows everything, while you know very little.

The fact that you have made this point shows where your heart is, you are not willing to submit yourself to a being higher than you, you will not accept it, you are full of pride, you make demands and say the creator should conform to your standard. Why? Why should God conform to your standard?

I do think, which should be apparent from the rest of what I wrote, that God's actions do conform to an internal standard of purity and holiness. Actually, God gave me a revelation of this where I saw many aspects of the inner workings of God's judgements. It is definitely real.

Why do you think that you would know more than an omniscient being in a possible world in which that being existed? Don't you recognize that this is an obvious character flaw?

I think that you recognize that your own opinions on anything are no more authoritative than mine, so you attempt to sic your omnipotent, omniscient God on me like he was your Pokemon.

God's power, authority, morality, opinions, righteousness mean nothing to me and I do not recognize them, since he is unwilling, or unable, to demonstrate them to me and prove his existence to me. To pledge one's self to to the 'laws' and 'morals' of an insubstantial sky daddy fiction is a job for idiots.

Appeal to demonstrable authority. Otherwise, you're just bashing your face against your keyboard for the pleasure it affords you.

Haha, don't worry about it. I was just reading it going, "Did I really write that? I don't remember writing that... Have I been drinking? What am I even referencing?"

The claim they are liars is obviously implicit. If they are not liars, then you have more than sufficient proof.
