I see what you did there.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Here's how to handle abortion.
http://apnews.excite.com/article/2013040...E3SG2.html
Quote: NEW YORK (AP) - The Food and Drug Administration must make emergency contraceptives available to girls of all ages within 30 days, a federal judge has ruled, saying the agency's decisions regarding the so-called morning-after pill were "arbitrary, capricious and unreasonable.
Judge Edward Korman in Brooklyn released the decision Friday, though it was dated Thursday. He had warned in the past that he was unhappy with the way the FDA had handled the issue, saying it had failed to engage in rulemaking to adopt an age-restricted marketing regime.
If women don't get pregnant they won't need abortions.
Now....let's all sit back while the bible and koran thumpers have a shit hemmorhage.

@TGAC
Religion shouldn't have any sort of political power, no, but religion is supposed to instruct on morality. The catholics are against contraception, but what they generally (though not always) campaign for politically is the end to abortion. With contraception, you aren't hurting others (I don't even think you're hurting your self, personally), but with abortion you are. Religion shouldn't force people to do adhere to what they see as moral, but they should protect against injustice against others. If there was a tax for being Asian, we should scream about that too.
In summary, I somewhat agree. Its not the place of a religious organization to enforce or make laws about many aspects of morality, but some aspects, such as abortion, we should.
It's not contraceptive if they're already pregnant...
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

No Tex. Here, in the US, religion has no place making any laws in any area. Period.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Now you're just being coy. Individuals can consult their religion as much as they want; however, when you attempt to tell me what I can or cannot do, "God said so" isn't a sufficient argument in a secular society.
