I live in the South and did not know this was going on and it's definitely not right. However you are being just like them for condemning the South as a whole. I've lived through the times when blacks and whites were keep separate, I've seen the progress that's been made. You have to realize it takes time for new generations to come about and correct things, the old has to die out and the new come in. Feelings and beliefs of hatred do not disappear over night, times are a changing, Thank God.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

The point is, however, that progress is clearly too slow in some places. Sure, it's not fair to classify all of the south this way, but I find myself doing it all of the time as an emotive release to cope with the fact that these problems seem to stem from a mindset that is only prevalent south of the Mason/Dixon.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

That's bull my wife is from the North and I see people up there putting down blacks as much there as I do here, but I do not judge the North, I blame the individuals.

I'm not saying there's not racism, but I would like you to point me to one instance of state sponsored segregation in the north.

Godschild, of course there's something wrong with the south; I'm guessing the segregated nature of this school wasn't secret, so the fact that it isn't a huge thing tells you 2 things:
1) The people near the school were fine with it
2) It's nothing big compared to the general fuck up that is the southern USA
