If Jesus came back to life....what was his sacrifice?

i didn't see the other thread, so I'll humour you! ;)

Lots of dogma for you to Wade through here, so apologies in advance.

Jesus the man didn't come back to life. He suffered a fully human death. He didn't use super human strength if you're meaning extra strong. He used supernatural, non human means.

'Sacrifice' implies giving up something you want or need for a greater good. Jesus existed specifically for this purpose, and he didn't stay dead. What he did was no more profound a sacrifice than donating blood, save for the violent theatrics God enjoys so much surrounding it. Jesus' sacrifice was a fraud even if it happened exactly as the bible said.

The theology only requires death. In bed of old age qualifies. The whole crucifixion thing is just production values. It really wasn't much of a crucifixion either. They were supposed to last for days. They would put it off a couple days to do it right.

Therefore if all men are bound to death by the sins of one man, so can all men be loosed from those same binds, by the death of one man without sin. Jesus was without sin was sacrificed and died. God did not trick sin out of its wages, by the resurrection of His Son , had Jesus sinned even once He would not have bean able to take back His life, but as He was without sin it is death which was un-able to hold on to Him.

The creator of sin cannot sin. Withering an olive tree is destruction of private property certainly a sin unless he was above the law. So if fucked six different women a night there could be no sin. Do you guys ever think these things through?

The jesus freaks are very sensitive about their alleged godboy's alleged "sacrifice." The reason for this is simply that none of it makes any fucking sense and they are tired of having to defend the indefensible.

Thus, I applaud you for raking them over the coals, yet again.

I think the last time this was done a few weeks ago I speculated that Christ/God the Son lost His place of deity in the God head. That is until I found a verse that said Christ was/is the same yesterday today and tomorrow...

Then the common every day explanation hit me. It wasn't that Christ has to loose anything to sacrifice Himself. Christ Sacrificed Himself/Died so you did not have to. Meaning Christ died in your place.
That was the sacrifice. It is the same with what was being done with the animals in the OT. The Animals were dying so people did not have to die (for 'small' sins.)

Our sins= Death. This means that if a sin is committed then someone has to die for that sin in God's economy. What better sacrifice for sin than someone who can Die once and come back from death, absolving all who want their sins forgiven.

Every pantheon in the Indo-European has a god who died and spent three days in the underworld. The three days is why they are so desperate to claim there are three days between Friday and Sunday.

So the question for Christians is why some primitive god right out of a B movie demanded blood sacrifice and then committed suicide to make it happen.

Is this not the very definition of narcissism? Is not suicide a sin? Does this explain why he condemned himself to hell for the sin of suicide? Since those days in hell were experienced by this god then they were days in the mind of god and more likely means three eternities in hell, no?

The rational mind has so many questions about the explanations which are completely and totally the invention of fallible people mostly poor educated and superstitious.

So, tell me, why did God make it necessary for death to pay for sin? Was he not capable of doing this in any less barbaric way? Or, does he just enjoy watching blood spill?

Please, Drich, try to square the notion that God chooses to demand death for not doing what he wants with this notion that God is a being of love. I do so enjoy watching you scramble to defend the psychopathic behavior of your kind and loving savior.

Don't worry about it. I sin pro bono.

Is it? Do you have book Chapter and verse that says it is? 6 people in the bible committed suicide (Judges 9:54; 1 Samuel 31:4-6; 2 Samuel 17:23; 1 Kings 16:18; Matthew 27:5). even so, no where is it out right condemned by God. That said Murder is a sin, and one can argue Suicide is self murder, meaning one can find forgiveness for murder as it is not the unpardonable sin.

Quote: Does this explain why he condemned himself to hell for the sin of suicide?
Can you provide book chapter and verse for this assertion as i have no idea what you are referencing

Big Grin Then why are you (someone who seems to be claiming to be educated and not superstitious) having such a hard time simply relaying what the bible actually says on the subject let alone compiling a cohearant argument on the subject that actively shows all of the fatal flaws and superstition you claim it has?
