I love that little song... it's like putting someone into my head and asking them what they hear. Minus the chanting, the voices, the wispy singing, the screams, the violins and other strings, the horn ensamble, and the psychotic laughter, obviously.

I just stick to a combination of sleep deprivation and insanely vivid dreams. Takes me up to an hour to accept reality again after I wake up but its a great fun process.

I get that without sleep deprivation... last night I had a nightmare so horrific I woke screaming at four in the morning. My mother came running downstairs to see what was wrong... I told her it just a nightmare, something about moderately large spiders (about the size of my forearm).

... I omitted the bit about them raping me, eating a few fleshy bits off of me, and using my body to parasitically house their eggs. The fuckers were almost as bad as bananas.

The funny thing about dreams, is that sometimes you feel they're real. The moment I tore back into this world I turned on the light, and was poised to jump out of bed and run and fight for my life, when reality caught up to me (that is to say: I wasn't under attack by spiders). I went back to sleep with the light on, of course (yeah... what's that going to do for you? Nothing).

This is good. Please mind: Banana bread is still safe (as long as it was baked over 248º F). It's only the untreated banana which is dangerous. Treat it like a toxic plant, and you'll be fine

Advantage of playing far too many FPS games = Lots of guns lying around in my dreams. I got attacked by a group of people in a dream. Then I found a gun and killed them all. It was disturbingly satisfying.

I had the same thing with a dream a while back I got to the other side of my room faster than I thought possible and punched the light switch until I could see.

I tend to go by the if I make it dark enough I can't see anything but neither can the bad things. Unless they see in the dark. In that case your pretty fucked. I guess the only answer is motion & heat sensors scattered around the house that when tripped turn the lights on and open up the wall which has the monitor for all the infra-red camera's that you have set up. Plus bullet resistance windows and blast doors obviously. Maybe a gun safe in case things get real fucked up. But I think just turning on the lights and putting comedy shows on till you calm down is cheaper...
