Are Atheists Angry?

It wasn't intended as a "last word" jab but more as a musing on the way people treat those who have a habit of calling people out for their lies and bullshit.
This, however, is: funny that you would project such an assumption on me. People often assign their own motives to others. Like I can see how the world is a better place without Hitler, but the world being a better place because an intelligent free thinker is dead? ummm.... no (June 4, 2013 at 9:08 am)ideologue08 Wrote:(June 4, 2013 at 9:04 am)Savannahw Wrote: That is a harsh thing to say dude.I don't think so at all tbh. uh. I'm sorry if you can't fully understand the implications of your words, but yea. Saying that because someone is dead the word is better is really insulting to that person. Insults are harsh. Glad I could explain that for you. I certainly don't think it was harsh. Is that clear? Harsh in this sense would be cruel or severe. What is more severe than death? I mean some people get cancer which is pretty severe. You aren't going to get treatment for a case of the deaths. (June 4, 2013 at 9:12 am)Savannahw Wrote: Saying that because someone is dead the word is better is really insulting to that person. If it is logically understood that the world is better without a certain individual in it, then it it is clearly realistic to forgo tact. Some people simply do not deserve respect, when they were alive or when they are dead, and some people need to stop getting hung up on being karmically gung-ho to the point of generating nausea in others.

You didn't actually criticize him except to say he was angry, either, so saying that the world was better off without him does come across as 'harsh'. It's not like he killed 6 million Jews and others...
