Attn: Christians, We've Heard Them Already

RE: Attn: Christians, We've Heard Them Already
Can you guys provide links to specific examples of these arguments being debunked? I'm new to all of these..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Quote:"Hitler was an atheist!"

Quote: “My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surronded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact
that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross. As
a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have
the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is
anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly, it is
the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty
to my own people. And when I look on my people I see them work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week they have only
for their wages wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their
pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very
devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two
thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people are plundered and exposed.”

[Adolf Hitler, speech in Munich on April 12, 1922, countering a
political opponent, Count Lerchenfeld, who opposed antisemitism on
his personal Christian feelings. Published in "My New Order", quoted
in Freethought Today April 1990]

Hitler would have made a shitty atheist.

And even when some bad guy is an atheist, it's not their atheism that drives them to do bad. Nobody has ever taken action in the name of not believing something, minus against that thing they don't believe, perhaps.

Absolutely, Gil. Stalin did not massacre the Kulaks because they believed in some stupid god or another but because they resisted collectivization.

Dammit, why am I even here if I can't recycle all my old garbage arguments and act as if they're something new?!

Can I still use them if I qualify them with "This is recycled garbage, but I'd like to discuss?" That way, I still get to use garbage arguments, you can forgo the now superfluous "GTFO," and you also get to enjoy giving your garbage refutations. Win/win
"I know what you are thinking about,' said Tweedledum: 'but it isn't so, nohow.'

'Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, 'if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic." ~Tweedledum and Tweedledee discussing the finer points of logic

Is the sum total of christianity rehashed arguments? I'd say it's in a pretty bad way if this is so. Surely there's something else?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Isn't this sort of like asking people not to shit in a toilet?

More like reminding them that this forum is not their toilet.

No. Only if you can quickly and succinctly prove you've UPcycled it.
