Jesus Vs. Superman (Which is more convincing?)

RE: Jesus Vs. Superman (Which is more convincing?)
Drich nailed it

I saw the movie this weekend. It was like going to church.

Like Jesus, superman chose to be vulnerable for the sake of humanity. He didn't follow it through.. he broke his restraints and used his X Ray vision to demonstrate his powers so that his captors would listen to him.

It's Kal El, not Cal El.
And Jor El.
El is like the family name.
And it took some 10 issues before supes recovered from doomsday...

I've seen it spelled both ways. Tongue
I've seen it too, but it doesn't mean one of them is right! Tongue

That would be me then.

No, I have nothing else to offer. Except perhaps that I was toying with the idea of watching this new film at some point but now I'm rather glad I no longer feel inclined if this is all it's about. Cheaper to stay at home and yawn than buy a cinema ticket for that privilege.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Did anyone else notice the design of the exo suits the kryptonians wore? And the design of the personal floaty assistance droids that were being used on krypton? Maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part but if you put the two together you could have a brainiac. Maybe this is why they reset the series after "superman returns." In that typically in the Christopher reeves movies superman was more like a what if a superman came to earth and was a stand alone hero.

With this reset it looks like this story takes place in the part of the dc universe that would support the other justice league members. Brainiac is defiantly a villain that will be more than what superman can handle alone. Not to mention DC introduced Central City into the mix with the dark knight rises last year. Which everyone knows is the home of Barry Allen/The flash. Plus we already have Hal Jordan as the lantern, all we would need then is a j'onn j'onzz or a Wonder Woman and were in business!
