Strawman argument. I'm not equating humans and animals. However science does tell us that suffering in humans is biologically similar to suffering in animals, it has the same function and same effect, and with larger mammals (such as cattle) there is no reason to assume their suffering and will to live differs at all from our own.

If anything, we should be looking at the parallels between the Holocaust and the ironic Israeli occupation of Palestine. The partitions/walls of the Palestinian ghettos, the persecution of those deemed less than human. The Jews were at one time the ones in the ghettos, with the separating wall in the Warsaw ghettos. The tables have turned and they are now the aggressors, and Western society is silent and stands ready to support more war at a moment's notice for Zionist interests. Those are the parallels that should be studied.
As for the topic at hand, I don't think the Holocaust will ever be forgotten, under any circumstances.

Oh really?!!!
Can you show me extermination camps built for the purpose of killing Palestinians?
Comparing the holocaust to the Israeli occupation of the westbank is simply another rethorik piece of nonsence used by people in the arab world when talking to the west, when not talking to the west, they outright deny it.

Actually, I think to a child the thought of being separated from your family would be pretty traumatizing.
