4 million years? Where did you get that number? Out of your ass?

What is "FAITH"

Consilius, no one will take anything you say seriously because you can't even produce commonly-known facts, such as the age of our universe.
Hold on everyone, I think i know what's going on here, this explains everything: he lives in a different universe than we do. This is a fluke in the space time continuum.
I'm sorry, it was a typo.
Evidence? Refer to post #318. (July 12, 2013 at 7:23 pm)Consilius Wrote: So the universe has no origin anymore? I thought it all started with a Big Bang 4 billion years ago. From there, however, you don't know where to go. This post you mean? Well, we should've caught this earlier then we don't even have to proceed this far. FYI universe is 14 billion years old, rounded up. At least, the one most of us live in.
The planet's 4 billion years old, while the universe is 14. My mistake.
Still irrelevant to anything at all. RE: What is "FAITH"

i think it's extremely relevant that you don't know a basic fact about the universe, but has spewed so many assumptions and reasonings as if they're real. I think it's more relevant to you than it is to us. perhaps it's just me, but i find it amazing that someone can be so confident when speaking about something they know nothing about, to the point of thinking what they thought up must be so right that don't even care what other people have discovered or said about the subject. Including generations of scientists that have devoted their lives to the study of cosmology.
In some cases, that would be very relevant to this conversation. In others, it would not be.
My argument is completely separate from me as a forum member. The fact still remains that the universe came to be in the past, be it 4 million years or yesterday. I could be a 7-year old Creationist that believes in a flat earth and that would take nothing from my argument, because nowhere have I asserted anything as fact based on my own authority. If you like, disregard the last 5 pages because I don't believe in germ theory or that the New World is real. If that's what makes you comfy, make yourself superior to me and dismiss my arguments. What you would get from that is a sin against rational thought: refusing to acknowledge that all ideas are equal. |
