By definition atheism in and of itself HAS no purpose, no goals, no "end game" as atheism is NOT A "THING". It's the absence of a thing, that thing being the belief in gods.
This is NOT to say - as many theists do, either mistakenly or mischievously - that ATHEISTS have no purpose. We can have all SORTS of purposes, find all sorts of "meaning" in life and strive toward all manner of goals, but none of this is founded on or derived from "atheism" because atheism ISN'T A THING.
If what you mean is "why be atheist" then speaking only for myself : HONESTY. Intellectual and emotional honesty. There IS no evidence of the existence of gods and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
Does this help?

Atheism itself has no endgame. It's merely the disbelief in any deity.
As for me personally as an atheist/anti-theist my endgame is the end of religion itself. Not through militant means mind you, such abhorrent measures cannot be abided, but through reason.
An analogy I like to use is that; religion is a disease, and medication through rationality/science/humanitarianism is the way to cure it.

I'm starting a betting line: the line is 3, for the question "what is the number of rules that this clown broke with his first post?" Get your wagers in now!
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
