It makes debating them rather easy though because you never run into any argument even slightly resembling novelty.
Definition of Psychological Projection
Quote:Projection is a defense mechanism that involves taking our own unacceptable qualities or feelings and ascribing them to other people. For example, if you have a strong dislike for someone, you might instead believe that he or she does not like you. Projection works by allowing the expression of the desire or impulse, but in a way that the ego cannot recognize, therefore reducing anxiety.

Meh, we're all sheep who say the same thing when that charge is convenient...and we're 40,000 denominations who don't agree on anything when that charge is convenient.

How many different ways are there to say "you have no evidence for an invisible sky-daddy who created the whole fucking universe?"

Appropriately, he was the only one to open his post with "meh".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

True but the sheep reference is widespread and it wasn't directed at any one in particular

You know it's true. We've all seen both of those charges here. You should take a poll, choose one, and stick with it.

And as we all know, the shepherd has the best interests of the sheep at heart. From farm to fork.
