Ok I think I understand your point. You are saying that if god gave us irrefutable proof, our freewill would then be taken away, correct?

But doesn't your god want us to believe in him? If he wants to give us our freewill, why condemn us for not believing? That, to me, is contradictory.

fr0d0 that is not true free will in my view. That is more like putting a gun to someones head and saying my way or death! Your God is nothing more than a tyrant, if he existed I am sure he and Hitler would be best of friends.

I don't think can test God Himself since He is outside spacetime, but most people think God acts in the world so there must be certain things that are detectable (I don't necessarily mean by scientific instruments). Anyway when I say God I tend to mean the Christian God which has certain claims over what should happen if He is real.

The biblical God has at times entered our space continuum several times according to the scriptures. Either a voice was walking or God was literally walking in the garden according to this text. There are so many references in the scriptures to God coming down to visit us from time to time, especially in the Old Testament.
Genesis 3:8
8.And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
