I could not tell you how god could exist since he is a figment of early mans imagination. Besides any explanation I provide would be down played by yourself as you tend to do. So, the words in the text are not literal huh? It is some kind of spiritual thing? I would love to hear your translation of this text fr0d0 please enlighten me!

Well how can you make your definite statement that "God has left no proof because god does not exist" then chatty? You can't? I see. I see your reasoning is circular.
Go look up a concordance yourself if you want to see the purpose of that chapter.
@ Minimalist: the message of Joshua is that God keeps his promises.

The "message" of Joshua is that god is a fucking stormtrooper.
I laugh when xtians claim that the US was founded on judeo-xtian principles. I keep wondering what those may have been? Because the only thing I can see is "kill the Indians and steal their land."
I wonder where those saintly xtian fuckwads got that idea from?

The US was founded by many "xtians", lol, but, I think they tried to make the principles as universal as possible.

Minimalist it's interesting that you brought up the parallels between Hebrew conquests and many persecutions and the Jewish Holocaust. I posted once before that the Jews in essence were reaping what they have sown.
fr0d0, I cant prove to you that god does not exist but I can state it as fact because the overwhelming evidence is against the existence of god. The evidence is enough to convince me that he never was, never is, nor never will be. Minimalist brought up an interesting question there too fr0d0, what exactly is the message in Joshua?

I don't waste my time reading religious books anymore, especially apologetics. The Christians way of twisting reality to accommodate their holy books lies was amusing for awhile but if you read enough of it it just becomes boring and quite pathetic.

I already answered Minimalists question chatty. I like the way you never quite get around to questions asked of you. Then you state you're past checking the real answers. Really, there's no where to ge is there?

fr0d0 answering your questions regarding my proofs against the existence of god is pointless, since as I have stated numerous times you always seem to find a way to twist reality to fit your Christian worldview. Your so called "real answers" are only real to those that are deluded and have suspended common sense and reason.
You want god and the Christian faith to be real so bad that you ignore all of the discrepancies in the scriptures and the mythological elements that are clearly outlined within them. Take off your holy blinders and pay attention to the evidence. In your persistence to believe you actually seem very fundamental to me.
Joshua 6:16,20
16.And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
20.So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
I suppose that the taking of Jericho was allegorical too, or better yet fr0d0 it was a spiritual victory.

Yet again you dodge the question that is central to the validity of your worldview chatty. Everything you stand for is in ruins until you address this.
