Blimey, very sorry to hear that. It's amazing you are coping so well. Funnily enough I have Chrons disease, another bowel problem. Went for my treatment today. I spend most of my day in bed, saving my energy up for the things I must do, and prioritising my energy sparingly among non essential things.

Hey. I resemble that remark!
Seriously though, there are some very good gaming mice available in the same price range as some of the 3-button office application mice.
Yeah... I think I'll just go try a different one from the tub of spare mice in the conference room... :p
Oh, and speaking of my remodel, I've been thinking that my shower curtain purchase is making the white-toilet-right-next-to-the-almond-tub situation much more tolerable, so I'm thinking I'll put in the pocket door before I replace the tub.

Sitting on the front porch with bae and the pups. It's like 65 degrees and sunny. The grass has started to grow and the rose bushes are starting to bud.
For the next two days it will be Spring in TN. After that it'll be 110% humidity and 90. Summer comes quick these days.

Yeah, it'll be DIY. Nothing about it is so crazy that I'm reasonably confident in my abilities to do it.
My plan as of now is go on my NYC trip in June, assess how much money I have left over from my tax return after that, and hopefully start the pocket door in September. Thinking I'll take a week off work and blast through it so it doesn't linger in weekend-warrior hell. Or at least I'll have a massive head start on the project. :p

~$500 instead of ~$3000
I've done a pocket door before, and it was quite the undertaking. Removing the studs on a load bearing wall requires you to create a throwaway support frame. Removing the studs without damaging one of the walls is also a bitch. You need a dremel tool with a metal cutting blade to try and cut them from the back. Making new headers for the doorway wasn't too bad, and installing the actual door wasn't too bad. That drywall texture looks like it will be tough to match.
One lesson learned: don't buy the canned shit for the drywall texture. It only costs like $40 to rent a texturing gun from Home Depot, or twice that to buy one. The result is 1000% better.
